An oasis in the middle of a busy city, the Green Lake neighborhood is the perfect place to retreat at the end of a long day of work and play. Just north of Wallingford and Fremont, Green Lake is centered around its namesake water feature, complete with a beach, kayak rentals, community center, tennis courts, playgrounds, theater, and water amphitheater. Each winding street that radiates from Green Lake is a quaint mixture of boutique cafes and restaurants, historic and remodeled single-family houses and condos. It is also the easiest neighborhood to get to from any point in the city, with a quick walk to Woodland Park Zoo to explore even further.
